Day 38 and the front of the transportation quilt

Day 38 is my blue triangle quilt. It was made using a layer cake which is a set of precut 10 inch squares. These are 60° triangles or equilateral triangles.

The reason I wanted to create this quilt was because I wanted to practice quilting motifs inside the triangles. Here are a few of my favorite designs.

I use the quilt to go back and look at design ideas to fill in a space in another quilt. #quiltswissy #quiltsanddogs #porchquiltshow

Day 37 Porch Quilt Show

Sawyer is practicing wearing gloves for when the world reopens.

Day 37 of the Porch Quilt Show is the Chicken Quilt. There are so many things wrong with this quilt, I can’t even begin!

Not all turn out well or like you had in your mind!  The blocks are called Hens And Chickens and the pattern appeared in a Quilt World Magazine a ton of years ago. I used it for practice quilting when I first got the long arm machine.

It is definitely a “practice” piece; albeit a cute one. #quiltswissy #quiltsanddogs #chickendisaster
